Clinical Psychologist Pay Rate: £40 per hour (assignment rate)

Summary:

  • Provide highly specialist clinical psychology services to a small number of children and young people identified through the Dynamic Support Register with a diagnosis of ASD and their families/carers across all sectors of care; providing evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment in line with NICE guidance.
  • Carry a caseload and coordinate care for those children, young people, and families on the caseload.
  • Offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care and formulations, working within Trust and professional guidelines, to a clear CAMHS job plan.
  • Provide outreach work within various locations, including but not limited to inpatient settings, schools, homes, community placements, and local CAMHS districts (across South West London) as appropriate and across the Trust when required.
  • Support the Departmental clinical governance structure through the provision of clinical supervision in relation to specific modalities of psychotherapy and by providing clinical input to supervisees’ PADRs.
  • Within supervision and team meetings, support and promote the use of measures within the CYP IAPT framework to evolve clinical practice and enhance user experience.
  • Seek opportunities to include service user perspectives in how services are delivered and developed throughout the duration of the pilot.
  • Utilise research skills for practice evaluation and service development, as required by the service and set out in the job plan.
  • Work with the Clinical Service Manager to lead the work of a particular team or service area.

Requirements of the Clinical Psychologist:

  • Psychologists must be registered and accredited members of the BACP (Registered Member MBACP (Accred) or Registered Member MBACP (Snr Accred)).
  • Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration.
  • Recent experience working as a psychologist in the UK.
