Duties:

• Perform clinical assessments, design and implement safe, progressive individual exercise treatment schedules.
• Conduct safe and effective group-based exercise therapy sessions (up to a max of 15 patients).
• Develop strength, Range of Movement (ROM) enhancement, posture, neuro-muscular control, and more.
• Lead a group of patients within a defined clinical area, setting appropriate rehabilitation treatment goals.
• Work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team providing a comprehensive rehab service.
• Adhere to all aspects of clinical governance.
• Deal with the emotional and behavioural aspects of illness/injury.
• Communicate complex information clearly through presentations and in writing.
• Develop good working relationships and work collaboratively with managers and team members.

Requirements of the Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor:

• Qualified physiotherapist, i.e., Degree or equivalent within Physiotherapy.
• Recent UK experience within specialised physiotherapy.
• Registered with the HCPC as a physiotherapist to work in the UK.
• NHS experience would be advantageous but not essential.
