Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified nurse to begin their career with Elysium Healthcare, a large and established healthcare provider. The role offers a comprehensive preceptorship program to support the professional development of the successful candidate, with a focus on empowering recovery and independence for the service users.

Main duties of the job

As a newly qualified preceptee nurse, you will work 40.25 hours per week at Aberbeeg Hospital, where you will help men with mental health problems, personality disorders, mild learning disabilities and/or drug and alcohol complications through their recovery pathway. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care, with a focus on least restrictive practices and vocational activities. You will receive 12 months of expert support, training and supervision to help you apply your academic knowledge in real-life situations and grow into a confident, autonomous professional.

When you join Elysium as a newly qualified Registered Nurse, you are automatically enrolled onto our Preceptorship Academy. That’s 12 months of expert support, training and supervision to help you apply your academic knowledge in real life situations.

You will be developed to grow into a confident, autonomous professional with refined skills, values and behaviours. That’s on top of your new role helping to change the lives of others and making a difference.

As a preceptee nurse, you’ll work 40.25 hours per week at Aberbeeg Hospital; where you will help men with mental health problems, personality disorders, mild learning disabilities and/or drug and alcohol complications through their recovery pathway to lead as fulfilling and independent life as possible.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team at Aberbeeg Hospital, a secure hospital providing low and medium secure services for men.

Aberbeeg Hospital focuses on empowering recovery and independence through the least restrictive practices and vocational activities, including working with the in-house Aberbeeg radio station and our residential animals.

Aberbeeg is located within the boundaries of the county borough of Caerphilly, set in 11.5 acres of land with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside.
