Qualifications

  • Experience in M&A, shareholder matters, and contract negotiation is ideal.

Job description

Our client is Legal 500 and Chambers recommended as one of East Anglia's leading law firms.

The firm offers a broad range of legal advice to individuals and companies in respect of a large range of legal services both nationally and internationally and is consistently ranked highly for providing excellent client service.

They now wish to recruit a newly or recently qualified Corporate Lawyer. Ideally, candidates should have had exposure to a broad range of commercial and corporate transactional work during their training and/or within their current role, including, in particular, experience dealing with:

  • M&A Transactions
  • Shareholder matters
  • Commercial contract drafting and negotiation
  • Business development experience including networking

The Corporate team carries out a high calibre of work and has been credited with being one of the best in the region. Working with both companies and individuals, the team acts on a vast range of matters locally and nationally and prides itself on building strong relationships.

You must be able to:

  • Manage your own caseload and assist others in the team
  • Manage your own financial housekeeping
  • Conduct meetings with clients both face to face and remotely
  • Assess legal issues and advise accordingly/conduct legal research/advise on costs and scope of work
  • Draft documents and letters of advice
  • Keep up to date with law and practice
  • Have excellent communication and team skills
