Position Overview:

As the NPD Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and launching exciting new products from concept to launch. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, and Quality Assurance to ensure our products not only meet market demand but also align with our brand values. Your role will be key in driving the innovation process, from research and idea generation through to testing, production, and market introduction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of new sandwich products, ensuring creativity, feasibility, and innovation.
• Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and consumer preferences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create product specifications and manage product development timelines.
• Oversee the creation and testing of prototypes, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure that all new products are launched on time and within budget, coordinating with production teams for smooth integration into manufacturing.
• Monitor product performance post-launch and suggest improvements or adjustments based on consumer feedback and sales data.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging ingredients, and technologies to continuously drive innovation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD) within the food industry, preferably in sandwiches or similar categories.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, ingredient functionality, and product testing methodologies.
• Creative thinker with a passion for food innovation and trends.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant product development software.
• Ability to use customer interfaces and online portals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume food production environment.
• Familiarity with sustainability and clean label product development.
• Previous experience in a sandwich-specific product development role is a plus.
