About The Role
We're looking for someone to come and support all product development activity within our meat manufacturing site. You will support in ensuring the Existing Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD) end to end processes are completed on time and in full.
You'll be part of the full Concept to Launch Process, focusing on the concept stages before product sign off. Analysing category data to define areas of opportunity for Myton Food Group, keeping abreast of the market to ensure our products are best in class. Carrying out regular benchmarking sessions to ensure targets are being adhered to. Support in the development of products in response to customer briefs and working proactively on innovation for future briefs.
The role is mainly based out of Winsford manufacturing site but there will be a need to attend meetings at the Head Office (Bradford) and visit some of the other sites and suppliers. There may also occasionally be a requirement to work the occasional day over the weekends in peak season.

What are the responsibilities for this role?

1. Support the concept to launch process - focusing on the concept stages before product sign off
2. Support the NPD Specialist and Manager to deliver the site's 'Product Development Plan'
3. Support on innovation concepts and looking into food trends
4. Support with factory trials
5. Support with process documentation
6. Attend customer research listening groups and debriefs
7. Deliver concise category analysis from trusted data sources
8. Work closely with the operations team to ensure our products are the best in class
9. Work in collaboration with technical experts within the business safeguarding the quality of our ranges
10. Ensure products produced are profitably priced and meet margin expectations
11. Ensure all pricing and samples presented to customers are correctly priced and prepared in a timely manner

About You
First and foremost you will have a passion for food and innovation. You will have knowledge of the meat market ideally (not essential) and experience working within the food development process. You will have great relationship building skills being able to connect and work with many stakeholders across the business with the ability to influence at all levels. Enthusiasm and drive to deliver results with commercial judgement is also key.
