Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and driven New Product Development Manager to oversee the launch and market readiness of innovative products for the Bloor Research Group. This role will work closely with the President and the Bloor Board to develop, refine, and implement design solutions that align with our strategic vision and deliver market-ready products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product development, launch strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, with a track record of bringing complex ideas to market successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development and Market Strategy:
    • Lead end-to-end product development, from ideation and design through to production and launch.
    • Collaborate with the President and Board to shape the product portfolio, aligning new products with the Bloor Research Group’s brand and strategic goals.
    • Define and manage timelines for product development stages to ensure timely market entry.
  • Design Solution Implementation:
    • Work with design, research, and marketing teams to translate conceptual ideas into viable, market-ready solutions.
    • Oversee product design and testing, ensuring solutions meet quality, usability, and market standards.
    • Lead prototyping, testing, and iteration phases, gathering feedback and refining products to achieve maximum impact.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Act as the primary liaison between development teams, executive leadership, and key stakeholders.
    • Facilitate regular updates and reviews with the President and Board, providing insights and recommendations based on product readiness and market trends.
    • Manage communication across departments to align teams around project milestones, goals, and priorities.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop go-to-market plans, including pricing, positioning, and launch campaigns, in collaboration with marketing and sales.
    • Oversee the execution of launch plans, working with marketing to drive awareness and with sales to support demand generation.
    • Monitor and analyse product performance post-launch, utilizing insights to improve future product development cycles.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Research:
    • Conduct ongoing research to understand market needs, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
    • Make data-driven recommendations to the Board and President on product positioning, differentiation, and market expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development and market launch, ideally in B2B technology, AI, or data solutions sectors.
  • Proven track record of bringing successful products to market.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with executive leadership.
  • Knowledge of AI, cybersecurity, and data industry trends is highly advantageous.
