New Ladies Players Wanted

England and Great Britain Hockey
Brighton
GBP 40,000 - 60,000
Job description

At Brighton and Hove HC, we are recruiting players for our Ladies section, particularly for our performance squads, which include our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams. Our first team plays in the South East Women's Premier Division with aspirations of being promoted to the National League. Each of the next teams plays in one league below. All performance squads have a minimum of one England Hockey qualified coach, with some squads having two qualified coaches. The club also offers specific goalkeeper coaching and strength and conditioning sessions weekly.

While we aim to increase levels at the top end of the ladies section, we also value the social aspect of the club. We have a clubhouse on site for home matches, which features a bar, and we host many in-season and end-of-season socials. We do not have specific position requirements that need improvement; however, we want to increase our player numbers to enhance our chances of promotions for all teams.

If you have recent experience of playing in the National League or a similar division, please get in touch with the W1’s Head Coach, Sean-Michael, at smcampleman@gmail.com. Pre-season starts mid-August, with a strong focus on starting the season well. Our S&C coach has already begun planning the schedule, with friendlies being placed within the diary.

Brighton and Hove HC is one of the biggest clubs in the area, with each team having a strong contingent of high-performing juniors. Recently, our boys U16 team won the EH Plate competition in the 23/24 season. The club fields nine men's teams and eight ladies teams, which play at Blatchington Mill School on two full-sized astros.

Aside from this, BHHC can offer:

  1. Regular GK-specific coaching
  2. Training twice a week
  3. Reduced subs for university students
  4. No subs for W1s players
  5. Access to two coaches per performance team
  6. Strength and Conditioning Coach available for pre-season and throughout the season

If you have recent experience of playing in the National League or a similar division, please get in touch with the W1’s Head Coach, Sean-Michael, at smcampleman@gmail.com.
