Job Title: New Business & International Assistant Finance Analyst
Location: Head Office, Enderby, Leicester
Salary: from £30,000 base plus bonus & benefits
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Financial Accounting team within Group Finance at a FTSE 100 listed company. Working within the team you will have responsibility for preparing information on the Group's financial results and will work closely with our Brand Finance teams, Tax team and Total Platform team in reporting on the monthly and statutory positions of the multiple international businesses. You will also be involved in helping set up processes and controls for the newly emerging international businesses.
Focussed and dynamic, you'll also have the opportunity to work across our main trading business to replicate good practices to help shape the financial reporting of our international businesses. You will also get the opportunity to be involved in the half year and full year reporting pack that is issued in September and March.
What will you actually be doing?
Reporting to the New Business & International Finance manager, you will support the team and the wider Group function. You will have responsibility for:
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliation
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, working across functions such as Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Cash Management.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, maintaining the highest standards of financial control and compliance.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures across the Group.
- Working alongside a senior financial accountant, you will assist with projects and aid in the month end delivery.

So, who's right for the job?- A part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
- Good organisation skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks delivering work accurately within challenging deadlines
- Have experience of developing and improving financial controls and challenge existing processes
- Be a good communicator and be able to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders across different finance teams and operational functions
- You thrive in a fast paced, busy environment.
