About The Role

Network Technician

Due to the expansion of our IT Department, we are looking for a new team member to take on the role of Network Technician. You will serve as the first point of contact for IT assistance to our store network and head office. This position is based onsite at our Head Office on the edge of the City Centre, but occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.

Key Responsibilities Are

  1. 1st line support, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems
  2. Liaise with end-users to ensure issues are resolved
  3. Helpdesk support on a variety of back office applications
  4. Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications
  5. Order and set up new hardware and recycle old hardware
  6. Order consumables for Head Office and the stores
  7. Approve permission change requests and starter and leaver management
  8. Assist with the support of Active Directory
  9. Ensure licences are assigned and/or renewed as needed
  10. Assist with the roll-out of new applications
  11. Liaise with external contractors and suppliers as needed
  12. Hardware Support - e.g. PCs, Laptops, printers, photocopiers, office moves etc.
  13. Management of Users/User Environment - Application management, network environment, PC and Desktop

What you'll need - skills and experience:

The ideal candidate will be able to prioritise their own workload and adapt to any issues. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and the ability to build rapport with the rest of the business. You should be friendly and easy to talk to with effective communication skills.

Key Skills

  1. Office 365 Administration & Support
  2. Active Directory, Azure and Exchange Administration
  3. New user setups and mailbox creation (User Accounts, Microsoft 365)
  4. Windows OS installation
  5. Good problem solving ability & excellent attention to detail
  6. Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  7. You must have Microsoft Office 365 experience
  8. Have a full driving licence as travel to other sites will be required
