The Opportunity

Due to sustained growth, the System & Network Administrator position has been created to bolster the existing infrastructure team. Initially starting as a 6-9 month contract, this role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to test drive this position with the strong potential for permanency thereafter. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, this role will be highly visible within the wider IT team of over 20 people.

Some of the key tasks aligned to this role include:

  1. Active Directory management including troubleshooting and support (GPO, DNS, Forest)
  2. Management of networks / infrastructure including Switches, Routing & Firewalls (Cisco products)
  3. Maintenance of Windows Servers
  4. Perform backup and replication duties
  5. Support Data storage hardware
  6. Provide support for Office365 as well as Skype & MS Teams
  7. Participate in IT infrastructure projects such as implementations & upgrades.

The Successful Applicant

• Will have prior experience performing the above listed tasks as a System Administrator or other comparable position
• Can demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills coupled with a knowledge of widely used products (Microsoft, Cisco, Veeam etc).
• Is a self-motivated individual who can effectively work within a team as well as independently.
• This person could come from within a mid to large size commercial organisation (Global or Australian) or alternatively from an MSP or IT service company.
• Interpersonally, you are an energetic individual with strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
