We are seeking an experienced Network Security SME for a 3-month contract to review our insurance client's current network security architecture, compare it to a zero trust model, and produce a compelling business case for implementing the zero trust approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing network security architecture
Analyse the current implementation of the zero trust model
Compare the existing architecture with the zero trust model, identifying gaps and opportunities
Develop a detailed business case justifying the replacement of the current architecture with the zero trust model
Provide expert guidance on network security best practices and emerging trends
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise-level network security
In-depth knowledge of zero trust architecture and implementation strategies
Strong understanding of network security technologies, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs, and access control systems
Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SANS
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCNP Security
Experience in the insurance or financial services sector
Previous experience in developing business cases for security architecture changes
Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies
