Job description

Role: Network Operations and Architecture Lead
Location: Remote (Based from Paddington, London)
Contract: 6 Months
Sector: Enterprise IT / Infrastructure


My global manufacturing sector client are hiring a Network Operations and Architecture Lead to oversee and evolve network services for a global enterprise. This role blends hands-on operational leadership with strategic input into the network architecture and roadmap.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure high availability and performance of WAN, WiFi, and LAN services
  2. Define and enforce standards, procedures, and risk management practices
  3. Support service transitions and ensure alignment with IT governance
  4. Provide architectural guidance on projects and technology planning
  5. Lead internal teams and third-party providers, driving service quality
  6. Maintain knowledge assets including network diagrams and runbooks
  7. Partner with stakeholders to manage service costs and support continuous improvement

Requirements:
  1. Strong background in enterprise network operations and architecture
  2. Experience with ITIL practices (Incident, Problem, Change, Risk)
  3. Proven leadership in managing teams and third-party vendors
  4. Solid understanding of WAN, WiFi, LAN infrastructure and tooling
  5. Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills
