Salary: Offering a salary up to £60,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus a car allowance

We are looking for a Network Manager to join Thames Water permanently.
You will lead and develop the Mogden Catchment Waste Network Team.

As part of the Mogden Catchment Leadership Team, this role is accountable for the day-to-day operational delivery of wastewater network services for 2.1 million customers across the catchment in West London.

  • 36 Hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What you will be doing as a Network Manager

  • Overseeing Thames Water's customer service and the management of the Waste Sewer System is a significant responsibility. It involves ensuring that millions of customers have access to reliable and efficient waste management systems.
  • This role requires a good understanding of urban infrastructure, a commitment to environmental sustainability, and a focus on customer satisfaction. It also entails the coordination of complex logistical operations, compliance with stringent regulatory standards, and the implementation of innovative solutions to meet the challenges of modern urban living.
  • The goal is to provide a service that not only meets the immediate needs of the community but also contributes to the long-term well-being of the region's waterways and ecosystems. By maintaining a robust and responsive waste management network, you play a crucial role in preserving public health, protecting the environment, and enhancing the quality of life for all Londoners.
  • The role holder will play a critical role in the catchment team, leading stakeholder engagement and driving future asset investment for the relevant systems (river basins) within their operational remit. Collaborative working with other catchment-aligned teams across the Waste Directorate and in the wider business will be critical. As well as your ability to manage service delivery via third-party contractors.
  • The purpose of the role is to meet customer expectations by driving performance through operating standards and environmental, legal, and regulatory obligations.
  • To ensure operations keep pace with these obligations, the role holder must optimise investment to minimise risk and drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What should you bring to the role?

  • Have excellent leadership experience with a demonstrable ability to engage and motivate large, distributed teams.
  • Experience in delivering services via contractor partners.
  • Possess a passion for health and safety with a strong track record in fostering a strong culture of health & safety excellence.
  • Be an Ambassador for Thames Water with a demonstrable ability to proactively engage and influence stakeholders and develop sustainable, long-lasting relationships both with networks and in the wider waste business.
  • Be an advocate for the environment with a demonstrable track record of compliance and environmental excellence.
  • Have strong financial and commercial acumen with demonstrable ability to manage budget and drive local accountability for cost control.
