HSBC’s Network Management & Market Intelligence function (N2MI) is responsible for the recommendation to appoint and the subsequent monitoring of the Group’s network of agents used by all group entities or global businesses.

The N2MI team is split between core Agent Network Management, Strategic Initiatives, and Market Information and Analysis. As part of N2MI’s responsibilities, we monitor and appoint the HSBC Group’s cash and custody network. This Agent Bank network provides our internal clients throughout the HSBC Group with a high-quality, cost-effective, and competitive service.

We are currently seeking a high-caliber individual to join the team in the role of Network Management Associate.

The scope of N2MI’s activities is focused on assessing the operational risk, efficiency, and appropriateness of the agent.

In this role, you will:

• Support the Network Managers in the management and monitoring of the agent banks.
• Undertake various processes and activities to deliver expected outcomes of agent risk management and business enablement within a controlled timeframe.
• Coordinate and perform initial reviews of ongoing due diligence of agent banks whilst reviewing control assurance reports.
• Support Network Managers with SLA reviews to benchmark service requirements and participate, along with Network Managers, in Agent calls when needed.
• Participate and coordinate various team initiatives and projects.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following:

• Proven background in custody/cash operations or risk, compliance, audit, or relationship management with knowledge of securities services products such as custody, cash, and/or collateral.
• Strong analytical, control skills, high work standards, and attention to detail are critical.
• Excellent client-facing and written communication skills with the ability to work towards stringent deadlines.
• Flexible attitude with the ability to work alone and unsupervised, but also to be a strong, contributing team player.
• Good planning, assimilation, and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize conflicting demands and problem solve.

The base location for this role is Edinburgh.
