A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage an experienced Network Engineer to support the IT infrastructure for a major office relocation. The successful Network Engineer will have expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure while ensuring high performance and security. The successful Network Engineer will be offered a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension!

The successful Network Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Designing and implementing the IT network infrastructure for the Agency’s new Canberra office.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshooting and resolving network issues, ensuring optimal performance and security.

The successful Network Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Advanced expertise with Cisco switches and at least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure networking.
• Proven experience in network design, troubleshooting, Wi-Fi configuration, and managing fibre optics, switching, and routing.
• Knowledge and experience in network infrastructure for office relocation projects.
• Desirable qualifications include CCNA / CCNP certification and tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science.
