Job description

Network Engineer

Position: Network Engineer
Location: Central Belt Area Scotland (Glasgow) and Highlands and Islands
Duration: 6 months, potentially leading to 9 months
Start Date: End of April

Responsibilities:

  1. Install and commission new routers on new BT circuits at various customer sites.
  2. Set up bridge calls with the commissioning team for testing and validation.
  3. Remove old Capita equipment after successful installation and testing.
  4. Provide excellent customer service and support during installations.

Requirements:
  1. Analytical Skills: Competent in analyzing and troubleshooting network issues.
  2. Customer Service: Ability to interact effectively with customers.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data networking, including switches and routers. Process documentation and shadowing will be provided before lone working.
  4. Equipment: Laptop and console cables will be provided.
  5. Transportation: Own car required.
  6. Communication: Own mobile phone required.
  7. Physical Ability: Ability to climb steps on occasion.
