2550 – Network Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. The right candidate will have solid experience working within the Oil and Gas industry and will ideally hold valid CCNP certification. This is a project-based role where you’ll design, implement and maintain predominantly Cisco network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This is a hybrid role working a 3/2 pattern (minimum of 3 days onsite); however, we may consider remote working with occasional travel to site for the right candidate.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues
• Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards
• Collaborate with other IT professionals within the IT local and HQ teams to meet department goals
• Deliver comprehensive project documentation to support handover to operations

What to bring

Essential:

• Extensive experience working in Network Engineer positions, along with a solid background of working within the oil and gas industry
• Proficiency in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting and a strong understanding of network security principles and practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred experience:

• Experience with network monitoring tools and software (Solarwinds)
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and security standards such as IEC62443
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, and Fortinet product suites
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
