Role: Network Domain Architect (Operational Design Authority & Strategy)

Location: Hybrid - 1 Day Per Month in Barrow-In-Furness (client site)

Project: Government / Defence Project

Type: Full-time, Permanent Role

Base: Up to £110,000 base salary plus an additional 5% bonus!

Are you an experienced Domain Architect looking to apply your expertise in a dynamic and forward-thinking Managed Services organisation? This is your opportunity to lead design authority for network architecture in a rapidly transforming industry. We're seeking a talented Network Architect to take ownership of the technical integrity of a key service line, collaborate with a community of Business Technologists, and help our clients navigate their digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Design Authority: Take ownership of the service line related to your domain expertise, ensuring the highest technical standards.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key advisor to internal teams, clients, and external parties, building and nurturing strong relationships.
  3. Strategic Advisory: Provide expert-level guidance on strategy, transitions, and new deals, ensuring alignment with client needs and organisational goals.
  4. Technical Leadership: Offer direction and guidance to a talented team of engineers, ensuring adherence to the service line's strategy, standards, and best practices.
  5. Innovation and Continuous Development: Stay on top of emerging technologies and trends to drive the evolution of your technology domains and the broader organisation.

What You'll Bring:

  1. Experience: Proven track record as a Network Domain Architect within a Managed Services environment.
  2. Design Authority Expertise: Experience operating as a Design Authority within large Managed Services accounts, managing bids and transitions.
  3. Technical Knowledge: In-depth expertise in the following:
    1. Cisco ACI (multi-site & multi-pod)
    2. Firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA & AnyConnect Remote Access)
    3. Enterprise Wi-Fi technologies (Cisco WLC or equivalent)
    4. Networking protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  4. Client Relationship Management: Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills, with the ability to influence and build trust.
  5. Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. Applicants must have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
