Job Summary:

BYD is the world’s leading manufacturer of New Energy Vehicles and is delivering record-breaking growth in the UK market. We’ve built the most dynamic and engaged retailer network in Europe, and 2025 will be a landmark year as we continue our sales and market share growth. BYD is already overtaking a number of well-established players in the UK – and that’s before we’ve reached our full network size or introduced our complete product line-up.

We are now looking to hire a new Network Development Manager to join our high-performing UK Network team. This role will work alongside our existing Network Development Manager and report into the Head of Network Development – BYD.

Role Overview:

The Network Development Manager will play a central role in the continued growth and development of BYD’s UK retail network. This includes leading new site projects from investor engagement through to opening, supporting our CI strategy with Gensler and peer reviews, and ensuring high standards are maintained across the existing network.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Lead the end-to-end process for new retailer sites including investor engagement, site selection, CI design coordination, build and launch.
  2. Manage relationships with existing retail partners and support them to achieve operational and CI standards.
  3. Implement BYD’s network strategy as it evolves.
  4. Support the development and execution of the UK strategy for BYD passenger cars and LCVs.
  5. Collaborate with sales, marketing, aftersales, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless onboarding of new retailers.
  6. Champion the deployment of BYD Corporate Identity (CI), working closely with internal and external stakeholders including Gensler, and support the peer review and compliance process.
  7. Monitor retailer KPIs and prepare reports for senior management, offering recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 7 years experience in automotive network development, dealer operations, or a related commercial function.
  2. Strong track record in managing new site openings, stakeholder relationships, and CI implementation.
  3. Experience working with both passenger car and commercial vehicle networks is desirable.
  4. Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
  5. Confident working independently and in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  6. Willingness to travel frequently across the UK.
