Are you ready to take on a fresh challenge in a fast-paced, ever-changing role? Our Network Control team has an exciting opportunity for you to become our new Network Controller. If you’re looking for a role that keeps you on your toes and makes a real impact, this could be the perfect fit!

About the Role:

As a Network Controller, you’ll be part of a dedicated team working on a 7-week rotating shift pattern, averaging 37 hours a week. Our 24/7 department ensures that we keep the water flowing around the clock, 365 days a year. Your shifts will include a mix of mornings, afternoons, nights, and some day shifts.

In this key technical role within the Operational Control Centre (OCC), you’ll collaborate with fellow Network Controllers and report to the Network Control Lead. Your mission: diagnose issues on the water network and develop robust plans to minimize impacts on customers and our performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Real-Time Problem Solving: Analyse real-time data to diagnose network issues and create effective plans to minimize customer impact.
  2. Incident Management: Maintain detailed logs of actions and decisions during incidents.
  3. Utilize Advanced Tools: Use systems like Synergi, Escada, and GISST to find the best solutions while considering important factors such as water quality and customer impact.
  4. Leadership During Crises: Take the lead during incidents and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance network performance and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring:

  1. Analytical Skills: Strong experience in analysing data and using multiple IT systems.
  2. Communication: Excellent skills in influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  3. Training Provided: Full training will be given, though experience in water network operations is a plus.
  4. Qualifications: Ideally, you’ll have English & Maths GCSE Level 5 or above. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates looking to start their career with a great company.

We celebrate diversity and welcome people from all walks of life. If you’re ready to be part of something bigger and make a difference, we want to hear from you!

  2. Career Progression: Embedded skills progression framework with financial incentives.
  3. Generous Holidays: 33 days holiday, including 8 Bank Holidays, with additional pay for working on Bank Holidays. Plus the ability to buy or sell up to 5 days of holidays a year.
