Experience with network devices and firewalls is essential.
ITIL certification or strong knowledge in ITIL disciplines is required.

Monitor and report on all elements of the AS network as required.
Provide technical support to MSPs and maintain network drawings.
Create and deploy configurations for new services.

Experience with Juniper network devices

Experience with Cisco network devices

Experience with Firewalls

ITIL certified

Strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident management

Strong working knowledge of ITIL problem management

Strong working knowledge of ITIL change management

Job title: Network Administrator
Location: Corsham

Salary: GBP55k plus 10% DV allowance and on call bonus

DV security clearance is required for this role

Provide technical on call support out of hours on a 1 week in 4 basis

I am looking for a Network Administrator for a client of mine who is a leading IT Systems Integrator operating within the UK defence sector. This role forms part of their live service practice, and you'll be working in a busy fast-paced environment. The role is diverse, offering the opportunity to get involved in several different network disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and report on all elements of the AS network as required
Process customer service requests
Create and deploy configurations for new services
Liaise with the Service Management team and Customer Authority to deliver services to end user groups
Provide technical support to MSPs
Maintain network drawings
Assist with annual Crypto Key Fill
Update and maintain CMDB

Required experience:

Experience with Juniper or Cisco network devices
Experience with Firewalls
ITIL certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, problem, and change management disciplines

Desirable experience:

Experience with encryption technologies
An understanding of how to account for sensitive material
Willingness to travel to customer locations
