Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Netball Coach to join our team at University of York Netball Club. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in netball and a commitment to helping each of our 3 teams improve their performance for the 25/26 season. We are looking for a Level 1 or 2 coach (can be training to be a Level 2 Coach) to help us run one session a week. This will be £20 an hour (each session is 2 hours).

Responsibilities:

1. Develop the skills and connections of the players within the different teams.
2. Plan and coach one session a week (Either Monday 6-8 or Thursday 6-8 dependent on training times which we find out over the summer).
3. Work with our club captain to make sure that the training is coherent with the other sessions they are running.
4. Help the club captain and team captains with weekly team selections if needed.

Skills:

1. Proven experience in Netball coaching with a strong understanding of the sport in general.
2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate effectively and inspire athletes.
3. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
4. Ability to build positive relationships with all members through a friendly and respectable approach.
5. A commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all participants regardless of skill level or background.
