Job description

Senior .NET developer with microservices, Azure, DevOps experience.

The role will include but is not limited to:

1. Developing C# .NET solutions for the organization.
2. Creating in-house applications using the .NET framework.
3. Debugging and maintaining written code.
4. Reporting and resolving issues related to .NET projects.
5. Identifying and handling technical risks and issues.
6. Working in a project team alongside other developers.
7. Providing technical support to stakeholders in the organization.
8. Reporting on project statuses and developments to senior team members.
9. Participating in project meetings with management and other team members.

The candidate should have excellent communication skills and experience gained in a commercial environment, as set out below.

Essential and Desirable Experience:

1. A bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, or information technology.
2. C#, .NET 3.5 (or higher), and Microsoft Visual Studio certification and experience.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a C# programmer or developer.
4. Knowledge of other coding languages (PHP, C+, Java, etc.).
5. Experience of using ADO code repository.
6. Ability to write clean, easy to understand code.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese language.
8. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
9. Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
10. Sound understanding of coding and development processes.
11. Experience with working in an agile environment.
12. Experience with working in a trading environment, preferably physical commodities.

Preferred Experience: Trade lifecycle & risk management, AWS infrastructure and services.

Nice to Have Experience: Experience with EU or Asia Pacific power markets, Global gas and power markets.
