Need PA in LEEDS (LS16) to support a 13 years old boy to access social activities.

If you can spare 3 hours on a weekend during term time, and 3 hours during the school holidays, to support Judah (age 13) in accessing community activities and developing his independence, this is a great opportunity to share meaningful experiences with Judah, enhance your C.V., and develop your skills for your future career.

Rate of Pay: £12.40 per hour (Gross) at all times.

Holiday Entitlement: You will be entitled to holidays on a PRO RATA basis.

A Personal Assistant (P.A.) is required in the LS16 area to support Judah, who has a diagnosis of Autism, social and communication difficulties, sensory processing, and severe learning disabilities in accessing local community activities. He requires support with personal care needs, for example, toileting, dressing, and assistance with feeding. He is mostly non-speaking but can use a communication device to communicate. Judah requires a P.A. for a total of 3 hours a week, worked flexibly on mostly weekends.

Judah is a happy boy with a pleasant disposition and likes books, music, bowling, swimming, and going to local parks for walks. He must be closely supervised at all times as he can become distracted and forget about traffic and road safety.

Experience of having worked with children, as well as children and young people with Special Educational Needs (S.E.N.), is preferable. This includes some knowledge, experience, and support strategies of S.E.N. that are essential in the following areas: understanding and learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties, speech, communication, sensory, and/or physical difficulties.
