We have an exciting new opportunity to be part of the NDT Team as an
NDT Technician Late Shift.
The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:
Primary Responsibilities
To contribute to the NDT team’s support of the preparation of parts for AMF1’s cars with NDT methods. This includes Ultrasonic Inspection, Eddy Current Inspection, MPI Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection and Visual Inspection.
Be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements of the role in which employed.
To work proactively, responsibly, professionally, and confidently at all times. To respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.
To maintain and develop skill levels to aerospace standard and maintain a current and thorough working knowledge of NDT methods.
Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to your job role.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Hold a minimum Level 2 NDT Qualification (EN4179/PCN).
Possess a thorough understanding of Ultrasonic Inspection, Eddy Current Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection and Visual Inspection.
Be able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of A-Scan and Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection, both handheld and immersion and Eddy Current Inspection.
Possess an excellent attention to detail and be able to adhere to company NDT specifications and procedures.
Knowledge of X-Ray and CT scan would be advantageous.
Previous experience as an NDT Technician in Formula One, high level Motorsport, or Aerospace would be beneficial.
Proficient in NDT report writing.
To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Have a willingness to undertake further training as required.
Ability to convey NDT findings effectively and confidently to the design and stress teams and back up your results with facts.

Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills under pressure both at the AMRTC and trackside.

The role will be based at the Silverstone Factory / Brackley premises however there may be a requirement to travel as and when requested to meet the requirements of the Company.
