NDT Engineer
Salary: Basic £42,500, plus £5,500 Car Allowance and Benefits
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester

A large Blue-Chip organisation is currently recruiting for an NDT Engineer to cover the North West of England area. The NDT Engineer will work at client sites carrying out tests and inspections in environments such as breweries, manufacturing plants, and other heavy industrial industries. You will be required to interpret and evaluate test results, work to international standards ensuring requirements are met, as well as collecting, collating, and reporting with sketches the result of the NDT examination.

Skills required for an NDT Engineer:

1. The candidate will have a minimum PCN Level 2 in UT, Dye Pen, and MPI.
2. Experience in PAUT, Eddy Current, or Forgings is desirable.
3. Experience of testing various weld geometries across a wide range of equipment and industries.
4. Experience of working with pressure equipment.
5. Ability to use your own initiative whilst working on site and maintain the highest level of H&S awareness at all times.
6. Flexible to travel around the North West of England with some time spent away from home. The working week is a 40-hour working week which does involve travel time.
7. Good communication and report writing skills.
8. A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach.
