Contract: Permanent – Full Time
We are looking for an experienced Planner to join the Infrastructure and Development group here at Norfolk County Council and lead the team responsible for delivering planning input to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.
Norfolk is playing a pivotal role in delivering the clean power, economic growth and housing needs of the country. You will be directly responsible for a small team tasked with the management of NSIPs and for the collaborative engagement needed with different service areas and elected members to assess the impact of NSIP proposals.
You will be a qualified planner who has a project management qualification or significant relevant experience of managing multiple complex projects to specified deadlines. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of shaping projects from their early stages through to delivery, with a proven ability to negotiate and influence the decisions of others to deliver desirable project outcomes.
You will have substantial post qualification planning experience and have an appreciation of operating in a political environment on often contentious and complex matters demonstrating your ability to collaborate with elected members, partners, and other organisations.
