Job description

Our client, a successful entertainment company, is seeking a National Radio Plugger to promote music, using their wide-ranging knowledge of genres covering electronic dance music.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Building and maintaining strong relationships with producers, DJs, and Heads of Music.
  2. Representing the company by attending gigs and events.
  3. Arranging plugging appointments on a weekly basis.
  4. Securing airplay for artists including interviews, sessions, and features.
  5. Producing engaging press releases and covering promotions.
  6. Attending client meetings.
  7. Attending and managing artist promotions when secured.
  8. Producing client reports.
  9. Curating a roster and finding new artists to work with.
  10. Owning personal financial targets.
  11. Contributing to wider radio department strategy and company objectives.


Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a similar position.
  2. Genuine passion for radio and interest in music.
  3. Experience using Radio Monitor is advantageous.
  4. Commercial awareness of the market and music industry.
  5. Able to establish and maintain contacts, using excellent communication skills.
  6. Happy working as part of a team.
  7. Able to develop strategies for campaigns.
  8. Strong time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
