Job Title: National Key Account Manager – Bathrooms

Industry Sector: National Key Accounts, Building Industry, Construction, Buying Groups, KBB, Bathrooms, Brassware, Sanitaryware, Baths, Showers, wetroom systems, shower trays, plumbing & heating merchants and bathroom retail showrooms

Area to be covered: National – ideally based North/ Midlands

Remuneration: £55,000-£60,000 + up to £25,000 Bonus

Benefits: Mid-size SUV Hybrid/ £675 per month car lease & Full Benefits

The role of the National Key Account Manager – Bathrooms will involve:

  1. National field sales position, will require national travel
  2. Selling our clients distributed range of bathrooms, showers, valves, sanitaryware, brassware, baths, radiators, underfloor heating, wet room systems and shower trays
  3. 80% Key account management of buying groups such as; MBG, IPG, Bathcom, Fortis, PHG, UKPS
  4. 20% Key account managing internal based partners such as QS
  5. Responsible for a £30m ledger alongside 12 area sales managers
  6. Typically one day working from home, one day at head office and three days on the road
  7. Head offices visited typically quarterly, rest of time on the road going out with area sales managers on joint visits, targeting customers that are not fully utilising our clients’ buying agreement
  8. Key account sizes up to £5m
  9. Negotiating annual agreements
  10. Attending annual conferences and events and review meetings

The ideal applicant will be a National Key Account Manager – Bathrooms with:

  1. Ideally of national key account management
  2. Open on product backgrounds; construction, electrical, furniture etc. industries will all be considered
  3. May be open to an area sales manager looking for first key account management role with strong experience selling into buying groups
  4. Contacts within buying groups of the bathroom industry may be useful
  5. Well organised
  6. Strategic ability
  7. Self-motivated
  8. Comfortable with national travel
  9. Knowledge of bathrooms, showers, valves, sanitaryware, brassware, baths, radiators, underfloor heating, wet room systems and shower trays is not essential
