National Account Manager

Food Industry HORECA working with high-end hotel and restaurant groups.

Hybrid / Remote Working ideally based on / around M25 corridor.

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Account Manager to join a growing business with a first-rate reputation in their sector. Utilising close partnerships with their trusted suppliers, they deliver the highest quality fresh, frozen and ambient food products to the finest restaurants, hotels, and retailers in and around London (and across the UK).

As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts, delivering a partnership that ensures long-term success. Managing a diverse portfolio, you will be charged with developing and maintaining long-term relationships, maximising the sales opportunities that exist therein, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Delivering targeted sales growth of an existing portfolio of high-end clients (predominantly large hotel and restaurant groups).
  2. Building and strengthening relationships with decision-makers.
  3. Daily management of portfolio, handling all high-level customer queries and requests.

What we are looking for:

  1. Extensive prior experience of successful sales within the food industry - with a proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business.
  2. Strong interest and knowledge of the UK Food / Hospitality industry.
  3. Strong commercial acumen with strengths in reporting, numeracy, and budgeting.
  4. Creative initiative with a strength in problem-solving.
  5. Organised with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Excellent communication skills, particularly developed pitching and negotiation skills.
  7. Able to build strong relationships, both externally and internally.
  8. Perseverance and resilience in the pursuit of goals.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a very competitive package that includes a basic salary of between £50-60K, a KPI-related Bonus, Car Allowance, and staff discount. This role may be suitable for you if you have prior experience as a Business Development Manager, Business Development Executive, Account Manager, Sales Manager, or Category Manager.
