The Medical Division at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals provides Acute care across the range of medical specialities in a large modern purpose-built hospital in Wakefield, which includes a large Acute Assessment Unit, Acute Elderly Assessment Unit, Coronary Care and Acute (Respiratory) Care Unit. We also provide care for Acute Elderly Admissions and step-down care for patients in a less acute phase of their admission at Dewsbury & District Hospital.
Successful applicants will support the Gastroenterology specialty team in the management of their in-patient & outpatient workload and will participate in the Trust-wide out-of-hours cover across both hospital sites.

Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology / Hepatology at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust (MYTT) on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
This post will participate in the cross site senior trainee General Medicine Registrar On-Call rota. Applicants will have the same educational opportunities as other trainees and have protected SDT timetabled.
These posts are not recognised UK training posts. However, the post-holders will have a named supervisor, and be supported in undertaking scheduled educational opportunities within the Trust and specialties.
The Service Role
From a clinical perspective, these posts will participate in the cross site senior trainee rota. The senior trainee rota is compliant with the 2016 junior doctor contract averaging 48 hours per week. The illustrative rota pattern is attached to this job description.
Duties will be based primarily on our Pinderfields Hospital site although all our medical staff are involved in delivering care to patients on all our sites.
