Muslim p/T Female Chaplain

An enthusiastic Female Muslim Moulana with appropriate experience is required to join a motivated multi-denominational, multi-faith team at Bolton FT Hospital.

We have recently developed a new Faith Facility which includes an expanded Mosque with ablution provision. The department is comprised of both Faith Leaders and voluntary workers, offering opportunities for spiritual care to patients, their relatives, and staff on a Multi-Faith basis while ensuring protected characteristics. It provides a 24-hour ecumenical on-call service on a rota basis. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Visiting patients and their families on the wards.
2. Supporting staff.
3. Helping with the provision of religious needs in the Muslim Faith.
4. Working with other Faiths.
5. Providing wider pastoral/spiritual/religious needs to the Trust.
6. Occasional extra on-call duties.

The Team is made up of Chaplains from the Muslim, Christian, and Hindu Faiths, supported by volunteers from all the above Faiths. We opened a new Faith facility just under 2 years ago, which includes a Mosque, Temple, and a Community Hub, in addition to a Chapel. It is a busy department where all Faiths work closely together to ensure the Trust's Religious/Spiritual/Pastoral requirements are met.
