Job description

Lambeth Music Service: Music Tutor (Drum Kit / Percussion Specialism)
Salary: £34.84 p/h
Contract: Part Time (9 hours p/w)

About the role:

Lambeth Music Service provides children with skills that will give them the knowledge and access to as broad a musical future as possible.

5.5 hours on Saturday

3.5 hours on Thursday between 11.30 - 1.30pm

We are looking for a music tutor to lead and support the delivery of both small group and individual lessons and large ensembles. These are music centre-based lessons for Lambeth children from 6 to 18 years old, with potential for future work focused on in-school provision.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and support the delivery of small group and individual lessons.
  2. Conduct large ensemble lessons.

Candidates should demonstrate:

  1. Ability to inspire and engage children and young people of all musical abilities and backgrounds.
  2. Experience of teaching Drum Kit / Percussion to younger students.
  3. High professional standards and a commitment to delivering to the Music Service’s expectations.
