Music Teacher (Production, Recording, Lyric Writing, and Music Creation)
Location: Milton Keynes
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Provision
Age Group: 12-18 years
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

About Us:
We are working on behalf of a specialist SEN provision in Milton Keynes that provides a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for boys and girls aged 12-18 years with diverse educational needs. They pride themselves on offering a tailored approach to education that focuses on individual strengths and aspirations.

The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join the team, focusing on:

  • Music Production and Recording: Teaching students how to use modern software and tools to compose, record, and produce music.
  • Lyric Writing and Creativity: Encouraging self-expression and creativity through lyric writing and song development.
  • Digital Music Creation: Introducing students to the fundamentals of electronic and digital music composition.
  • Inclusive Education: Adapting teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of students, fostering confidence and a love for music.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the interests and abilities of SEN students.
  • Utilize digital tools and software to teach the basics of music production and recording.
  • Encourage self-expression through lyric writing and creative music projects.
  • Build confidence and teamwork through collaborative music-making sessions.
  • Work closely with colleagues to support the wider educational goals of the provision.

About You:
To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Experience or qualification in music production, recording, and composition.
  • A creative and flexible teaching approach, with an understanding of SEN strategies.
  • Proficiency in using music production tools (e.g., Logic Pro, GarageBand, Ableton, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
