Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified teacher of Music looking for a new role in Manchester for the remainder of this academic year?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a specialist Music teacher to join a successful grammar school in Trafford from as soon as possible until July 2025. This is a temporary supply role to cover a long-term staff absence.

The Role

Teacher of Music to year 7 to Year 11 classes

Four days a week - Tuesday to Friday

Teaching understanding music, music composition and music performance with a focus on innovative practical lessons with strong behaviour management.

The ability to teach other subjects such as drama or performing arts to Key stage 3 would be beneficial.

The timetable is only key stage 3 and 1 year 11 class, however the school has a successful sixth form so experience of teaching Music and Music technology to A level would be beneficial.

The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS practitioners and further education music specialists with experience of teaching music to students aged 11 to 18.

To join us and be successful in this Music supply Teacher role, you will need to:
  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or be an NQT/ECT or have an equivalent Further education qualification such as PGCE14+, PGDE or Certificate of education.
  • Experience of teaching in an Ofsted Outstanding school or Grammar school is desirable.
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with a full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Ideally be able to provide excellent references.
