Wayman Education is looking for a part time Music teacher based in the heart of Westminster! This is an opportunity to work within an amazing primary school in West London. The school is looking to appoint a class teacher who will enjoy teaching an academic yet creative, topic-based curriculum in a school with exceptional pastoral care. The successful Music Teacher will have the opportunity to work in an environment that values education and learning, utilizing their skills and experience to make a meaningful difference to the lives of students. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Music curriculum, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create an inclusive and safe classroom environment.

As a Music teacher in this lovely and progressive school, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to Music students. It will provide you with an opportunity to support and motivate students to reach their full potential and work alongside a supportive and excellent team of staff.

Music Teacher Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Music students, using creativity and innovation to keep the students engaged.
  2. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing formal and informal feedback to students and parents.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to plan, prepare and participate in school events, including extracurricular activities.
  4. Establish and maintain open and positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  5. Utilise a student-centered approach to teaching, encouraging independent thinking and problem-solving.
  6. Incorporate inclusive practices into teaching approaches, recognising the diverse needs of students.
  7. Ensure accurate record-keeping, including attendance records and student data, in line with the school's policies.
Music Teacher Requirements:
  1. QTS, PGCE and strong academic record.
  2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  3. Highly organised and able to manage competing demands effectively.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  5. Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learning environment.
Salary

The salary for this Music position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract to scale MPS/UPS.
