Music Teacher

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity in a supportive and achieving school environment? This is a large school currently seeking a talented Music Teacher to join a stable and successful Performing Arts department. This position is available for April 2025, 3 days a week and will run until the end of the academic year.
Position: Music Teacher (KS3/KS4)
Location: Birmingham
Start Date: April 2025
Contract: Until end of academic year
Salary: £175 - £250

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, ensuring coverage of the national curriculum.
  2. Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  3. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues within the Music department to share best practices and resources.
  5. Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behaviour.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Proven experience teaching Music at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  3. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Music teaching.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  6. A commitment to the ethos and values of the college.
