Founded in 1987 in Austin, Texas, SXSW is best known for its conference and festivals that celebrate the convergence of tech, film, music, education, and culture. Since its launch, SXSW has hosted notable figures such as Dave Grohl, Sadiq Khan, Michelle Obama, and Mark Zuckerberg. It is a platform for emerging talent and has helped boost the early careers of music acts like Amy Winehouse, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Stormzy.
Remaining true to the original Austin festival but with a European twist, SXSW London is expected to showcase innovations in technology, gaming, and screen, including visual arts and fashion programming, with exhibitions and interactive experiences in public spaces across East London. With activities running across venues, galleries, clubs, and other spaces in Shoreditch, SXSW London aims to become the ultimate platform for creative discovery and artistic convergence across Europe.
SXSW London's Music Programme will feature cutting-edge music, culture, and creativity from London, Europe, and beyond. We'll spotlight international music scenes that transform the culture of their communities, focusing on what's new and next, and highlighting iconic moments where music and technology collide with culture from diasporic communities and underground movements.
As Music Programme Producer at SXSW London, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of music at SXSW London. You will help develop and manage new systems to deliver the first-ever European edition of the festival. In close collaboration with SXSW London's production partner and conference team, you will lead the logistical planning and support the curation and delivery of music at SXSW London. You will be responsible for facilitating guest-curated showcases, artist-led commissions, and our open call process alongside music conference content.
