Music & Drama Teacher (Cover Position)
Location: Windsor, Berkshire
Start Date: 22nd April 2025
Contract Type: Temporary (22nd April to end of term)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Music & Drama Teacher to join a vibrant middle school in Windsor for a cover position starting on 22nd April and continuing until the end of the term. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 2 and 3, fostering a love for the performing arts.

As a Music & Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that develop students' musical and theatrical skills, encouraging creativity and confidence. The school is committed to providing a rich and diverse curriculum, and the performing arts play a vital role in their educational offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver high-quality Music and Drama lessons to students in Key Stages 2 and 3.
  2. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school's vibrant performing arts program.
  5. Participate in school events and performances, showcasing students' talents and achievements.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a Music & Drama Teacher who:
  1. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential).
  2. Has strong experience teaching or leading Music and Drama, even without formal teaching qualifications.
  3. Demonstrates a passion for the performing arts and the ability to inspire students.
  4. Possesses strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  5. Is adaptable and able to deliver engaging lessons in both subjects.
