Job description

Role:
This role will help the RNLI save lives at sea by informing people about the lifesaving work carried out today by selfless volunteers just like Henry Blogg.

Your roles would be to:

  1. Help with the delivery of the museum workshops for schools/youth groups visiting the museum
  2. Deliver talks to schools/adult community groups at the museum or as outreach
  3. Help to plan and facilitate family events e.g. craft activities
  4. Undertake research appropriate to the content of educational provision at the museum
  5. Promote the Museum Education Volunteer role to generate a team

Training will be provided to ensure you are prepared for your new role. This is a perfect opportunity to meet new people within your local community, gain valuable skills, give back to your community, and join a team of motivated people.

Volunteer requirements:

  1. To have good time-keeping
  2. Have good communication skills
  3. Be good with people

Time commitment:
Flexible – 3.5 hours a week, however more hours are available if you wish to give more time.

About the organisation:
Our volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service in the UK and Ireland, and our seasonal lifeguards look after people on busy beaches. Our Flood Rescue Team helps those affected by flooding.
