Continental Shift Engineer
Location: Sharston
Salary: £50,000
Hours: Continental Rotating Shifts (4 on, 4 off)

4 x 07:00-19:00
4 x 19:00-07:00

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Are you a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias? We're looking for someone proactive, motivated, and ready to make an impact as part of our Engineering Team.

About the Role
Your mission: Keep our operations running efficiently, safely, and at the highest standard. Based at our Sharston site, you'll be responsible for ensuring the performance of machinery and services, supporting maintenance at our Cheadle warehouse, and providing cover across sites as needed.

What You'll Do

1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance using our computerised system.
2. Identify and implement efficiency improvements across all areas.
3. Provide engineering cover across sites, including weekends when required.
4. Maintain stock levels for engineering supplies.
5. Manage contractors on-site and ensure compliance with Permit to Work Systems.
6. Support food manufacturing standards and ensure BRC and customer audit compliance.
7. Champion health and safety standards to provide a safe working environment.
8. Support environmental sustainability efforts on-site.
9. Promote continuous improvement and build teamwork across departments.

About You
Essential Requirements:

1. Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in the food industry.
3. Strong team player with great communication and interactive skills.
4. Multi-skilled experience with 17th Edition certification.
5. Basic computer literacy and small project experience.

Desirable Skills:

1. Electrical qualification (HNC).
2. PLC programming experience.
3. Knowledge of refrigeration systems and FMCG environments.
4. Basic food safety and first aid training.
5. Lean manufacturing experience.
