Department/Role overview

We have an opportunity for you to lead the creation of multimedia content that supports our brand and engages with our audiences. You will be responsible for producing and editing videos, podcasts and photographic content that highlights our thought leadership, client success stories and reinforces our brand positioning of Outpacing Change. Working closely with the global Communications, Marketing, Design and Digital Teams, you'll play a vital role in shaping our visual and audio brand.

This role is unique within the firm, solely responsible for producing this specialised content using our well-equipped studio. Whilst based in London, you will manage, oversee and carry out production requests across the global firm.

As such, the role will suit a self-motivated and focused individual, prepared to bring a high level of creative energy and flair to this dynamic team. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with clients and team members. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Video production:Plan, shoot and edit high-quality video content, from concept to final delivery, including storyboarding and scriptwriting.
  • Podcast production:Manage all aspects of podcast creation, including scripting, recording, editing and publishing. This includes managing our three Ashurst podcasting channels, and ensuring high audio quality and consistency across episodes.
  • Photography:Capture and edit professional photography for use across digital platforms, marketing materials and communications. Requirements range from headshots to event photography.
  • Content development:Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative ideas for video, podcast and photographic content that aligns with our brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Post-production: Handle all post-production tasks for video, audio, and photography projects, including editing, sound design, and preparing final outputs tailored for various distribution platforms.

Main responsibilities

Your role will involve:

  • Overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Ensuring all visual and audio content consistently aligns with our brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Organising and managing multimedia assets, maintaining an archive of content for easy retrieval and use.
  • Providing high levels of client service while balancing often competing organisational priorities.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues in the brand, marketing, communications & CMG teams to ensure a consistent, considered approach globally.
  • Managing our panel of external suppliers and coordinating overflow work with them.
  • Ensure a high standard of creative production and strategically-aligned outcomes across project deliverables.
  • Building relationships with key Ashurst partners and other influencers.
  • Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Desired skills and experience

  • Degree qualified in Film Production, Media Studies, Photography or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with motion graphics and/or animation experience, either within a corporate or production agency.
  • Proficiency in video and audio editing software.
  • Advanced knowledge of photography equipment, techniques, lighting and editing tools.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling and content creation for digital platforms.
  • Experience with video and audio equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting and studio set ups.
  • Excellent attention to detail/accuracy and ability to proof own work.
  • Flexibility to work outside of business hours when required.
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure.
  • All-round communication skills and the ability to deal effectively at all levels.
  • Highly motivated, with a proactive, willing, "can do" attitude.
