Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) – East London – Salary £48,000 – Continental Shift Pattern

The Job:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join the team at our site in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for engineers with a background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with the potential to work on light electronic systems too. If you are a proactive problem-solver with a passion for engineering and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out both mechanical and electrical maintenance across various equipment and systems in our factory
2. Diagnose and repair faults efficiently to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations
3. Perform routine checks, servicing, and preventative maintenance tasks
4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
5. Work closely with other engineering teams to support ongoing production requirements
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems (where applicable)
7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and any improvements made

The Candidate:

1. Experience in an engineering environment, preferably as a Multi-Skilled Engineer
2. Strong skills in both mechanical and electrical engineering – with a good understanding of systems, diagnostics, and repairs
3. Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
4. Experience with light electronic systems is desirable but not essential
5. Former Forces Engineers are highly encouraged to apply, as we value the skills and discipline brought from military backgrounds
6. Valid driving license and own transport are essential for travel to the site
7. Proactive, solution-focused attitude with an ability to work independently and as part of a team
