Our client, Caterpillar Peterlee, is the worldwide source of Cat Articulated Trucks, currently producing 7 variants used in many industries including mining, construction, and aggregates. The facility's manufacturing activities use the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology, and a state-of-the-art paint plant.

The facility is easily accessible via bus, car, and train and is located just off the A19. The nearest bus stop is just outside of the facility and the nearest train station is located in Horden; a 9-minute drive away from the site, with routes from Newcastle, Sunderland, Hartlepool, and Seaham!

Pay Rates:

Up to £46,514 Dependant on Experience (paid overtime available)

Working Hours:

36.5 hours per week

Shifts:

4 Crew, 3 Shifts per week (days/nights rotation, Mon - Sat)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Completing planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown maintenance on:
2. Automated Metal Cutting Equipment including Laser and Plasma
3. Automated Paint Plant
4. Robotic Welding Systems
5. Welding equipment
6. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
7. Electronic Torque equipment
8. Automated Moving Lines/AGVs
9. Hydraulic Presses
10. Overhead and Semi Goliath Cranes

Completing Dynamic Risk Assessments along with adhering to the company's Health and Safety policy.

Utilising the Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP PM, Agility etc) to review previous breakdown data and record actions taken on breakdown recoveries.

Diagnosing PLC concerns and implementing program changes.

Complete training and further learning as required.

Breakdown root cause identification and countermeasure implementation.

Requirements:

Experience relevant to an industrial manufacturing environment.

Completed an accredited apprenticeship and be multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical functions (electrical preferred).
