Qualifications

  • Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering or related field.
  • Experience in servicing and repairing large engines and temperature control products.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with safety practices and quality standards.
  • Complete repairs and overhauls on various equipment to ISO standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to enhance team performance.

We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician in our South region. Our depots in the area include: Sutton, Bedford, Swindon and Plymouth.

What you’ll do:

  • Follow company QHSE procedures, maintain awareness of all regulations, and ensure compliance with safety practices and quality standards, including Standard Working Instructions (SWI) usage.
  • Ensure the completion of repairs, testing and overhauls on equipment (such as generators, fluid chillers, air handlers, pumps and air conditioning units and electrical equipment) in accordance with deadlines and ISO standards.
  • Provide technical assistance, support, and training to Aggreko staff helping to contribute to optimum team performance and productivity, striving to continuously improve service delivery and quality.
  • Report and document component failures, ensuring that work orders are completed in accordance with company standards, including details on parts, labour, and any additional required information.

You will have some of the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical/electrical or refrigeration subject (can include apprenticeship)
  • Experience servicing, repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery or any temperature control products including chillers and air handlers)
  • Refrigerant Handling (F Gas) CITB Brazing
  • Good organisational & communication skills
  • Good level of PC literacy including basic experience in MS Office applications
  • Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
  • Must hold a full, clean and valid driving licence
