We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) to support operations at our Dalton facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical background and solid mechanical knowledge to be part of a dynamic team keeping our plant running at peak performance.

Days Role Shift Patterns
Early Shift: Mon - Fri 06:00 - 15:30
Late Shift: Mon - Thurs 09:30 - 20:00, Fri 09:30 - 15:00

Salary: Up to £52k DOE + bonus (up to £1.2k) + overtime available (anything above 45 hours is 1.5 times or 2 times)
Location: Dalton, YO7

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/planned and reactive basis.
2. Use predictive maintenance techniques such as thermo-graphic imaging and vibration analysis to make regular assessments of the plant condition.
3. Implement equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance work-flow methods and techniques.
4. Process optimisation to ensure maximum efficiency.
5. Employ Preventive/Predictive maintenance techniques to achieve benchmark plant reliability.
6. Ensure availability of critical spares.
7. Manage own work flows to remain within maintenance budget.
8. Oversee projects when required.
9. Ensure adherence to safe system of work, PPE permits, risk assessment, etc.

Required Experience/Qualifications

1. Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture.
2. Post apprenticeship experience.
3. Electro-Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant, including pneumatic and hydraulics.
4. Interacts with vendors to complete day-to-day tasks.
5. Familiar with safe system of work (Permit to Work systems).
6. Carrying out Preventative maintenance tasks.
7. Some working at heights will be required.
8. Ability to develop and conduct training for operators.
9. Ability to organize, coordinate, and accomplish multiple tasks.
10. Strong communication and organizational skills, able to provide detailed shift reports.
11. Experience of working as part of a maintenance team on a manufacturing site.
12. Demonstrated effective systematic problem-solving skills.
13. Must have a high drive and energy level, can-do attitude, and excellent attention to detail.
14. Treat people with dignity and respect.
15. Able to work autonomously and react quickly in high-pressure situations.
16. Self-motivated, able to work independently.
17. Be flexible, adjust shifts to cover other engineers' holidays.
18. Prepared to participate in training and development.
19. Ensure all planned and routine maintenance are carried out and documented on the CMMS.
