Key Duties:

  • Carry out breakdown repairs to production equipment, plant, and services as requested.
  • Carrying out TPMs and ensuring documentation is completed.
  • Keep daily records of all work completed and all work pending.
  • Monitor stores stock and usage.
  • Always apply best practice operation maintaining high levels of health & safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Progress and complete project work on site.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Mechanical / Electrical Technician (60/40 ideally).
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven mechanical skills with knowledge in the plastics / injection molding industry preferable.
  • H&S accreditation would be advantageous.
  • Hold a 18th Edition Certificate is preferred but again not essential.
  • Understand and be able to read mechanical/electrical schematic drawings.
  • Be experienced in the use of PPM systems.
  • Work on their own initiative.
  • Work towards improved efficiency in the maintenance department.
  • Be an effective team player and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be willing to be flexible for the company and work occasional overtime shifts.
