About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading food manufacturing site. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of the production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventative & Reactive Maintenance – Conduct routine servicing and emergency repairs on equipment, conveyors, sifters, pneumatic systems, and electrical controls.
• Fault Finding & Troubleshooting – Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime and ensure smooth production.
• Continuous Improvement – Support process efficiency initiatives and suggest improvements for reliability and safety.
• PLC & Electrical Maintenance – Work with automation and control systems to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Compliance & Safety – Ensure all work is carried out to food safety, health & safety, and compliance standards.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within the food industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including working knowledge of conveyors, sifters, pneumatic systems, motors, metal detectors and PLCs.
• Engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
