Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Crewe.

For the successful Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer our client is offering:

• £40,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE
• Monday to Friday shifts, 10 hours, inclusive of Days & Nights
• Permanent position
• Free parking on-site

The Role - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Ensure all Production Machinery are maintained to their optimum performance daily
• Perform root cause analysis & resolve any problems during the shift or those highlighted by the Line Leaders
• Identify parts that may be required and report to the Engineering Manager
• In line with the production plan, complete applicable product line changes in a timely manner
• Adjust settings applicable to the product being run – Fillers, Cappers, Conveyor, Combiners, Laser Etchers & Boxing elements
• Ensure change parts are stored effectively for their next use
• Use of plant machinery including angle grinder(s)
• Meet performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility

What our client is looking for in a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Recognised Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship - ESSENTIAL
• Experience within the FMCG industry - ESSENTIAL
• The ability to work at height and lift a minimum of 20kg
• Experienced with dealing with various production machinery and line setting - ESSENTIAL

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client - a leading UK Packaging Company in their search for a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their Winsford based manufacturing site.

For the successful Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) our client is offering:

• £44,977 starting salary, opportunity to earn up to £46,400 basic salary.
• Shifts are 6-2, 2-10, 10-6 rotating with weekend overtime available at weekends at x 1.5 Saturdays and x2 Sundays
• Temporary to Permanent position
• Company pension

The role - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias):

• Attending breakdowns and repair in a timely and controlled manner
• Ordering spares and repairs and keeping within the maintenance budget
• Planned preventative maintenance on a variety of production machinery including conveyors, packaging machinery, and Ancillary test equipment.
• Repairs and Installation to electrical apparatus
• Comply with health and safety and food safety legislation

What our client are looking for in the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias):

• Must hold electrical engineering qualifications - ESSENTIAL
• Extensive fault finding/diagnostic experience
• Electrically competent with strong mechanical awareness, inclusive of Hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding. Experience working with control panels - contactors, motors, starters, inverters and PLC systems
• The ability to analyse control panels, wiring diagrams and carry out fault finding
• Plastic extruder experience an advantage but not essential as training given
• Robot experience an advantage but not essential as training given
• Machine work/fabrication would be an advantage but not essential as training given
• Must have own tools, tool box will be provided and specialist tools will be provided.
